Irish immigration is a very significant piece to U.S. history because it affected many Irish immigrants that were coming to the U.S during the 19th century. For example many Irish Immigrants did not get good paying jobs that were very dangerous jobs. Also, they were considered as white slaves because many Irish immigrants would work on plantations.
